About Matt:

My dad has been skydiving recreationally since I was about 9 years old. At 13 I did a tandem in Spain and that was it... When I was 17, and at a time when I really should have been revising for A-levels, I jumped back on a plane to sunny climates to complete my AFF.

Having stayed in Mike Carpenter’s (who at the time was a member of Euphoria) house during my AFF, freefly immediately appealed to me and I did my first two-way Sitfly jump on my 19th jump (in retrospect, probably not an advisable thing to do)

Still at school, I couldn’t afford much jumping for my first couple of years in the sport. When I got to university though, I soon signed up for a university trip and got my FF1. My next step led me out to the USA to further my skills where I was introduced to wind tunnels. Amazed by the speed of progression in the tunnel, I was soon hooked. I then got a summer job with Airkix in Milton Keynes and tuned my skills in both the tunnel and the sky.

Having flown in the tunnel and the sky with the other Euphoria team members, they decided to invite me into the team at the end of the 2010 season. With relatively few jump numbers compared to the rest of the team, I’m nervous but very excited about what the future has in store!
